QuestBridge

What it adds#

QuestBridge is a mod made by Navrelis for Nytheria. It works together with FTB Quests (Fabric) and has three jobs:

• Custom tasks: 16 tasks in the quest book are tracked by QuestBridge, turning real actions such as eating, crafting, sleeping, trading or exploring into quest progress.
• Runtime requirements: some quests in The Lamplighter's Chronicle use QuestBridge requirements instead of fixed items. Such a requirement can accept, for example, any item with a certain tag, from a certain mod or with a certain property. In the quest book they show up as a QuestBridge Filter item inside a normal item task. QuestBridge tracks this progress and saves it in the instance.
• Authoring tools: for the pack authors it exports lists of items, mobs, biomes, structures and more, checks the quest book for problems, and helps to draft and apply quest changes with backups.

Getting started#

Players do not need to do anything. Complete quests as usual; QuestBridge checks its requirements in the background. If a task shows a QuestBridge Filter, read its tooltip: it tells you which kinds of items count.

Tips#

• A filter such as "any item tagged #..." means that many different items can complete the task, so check your chests before you go looking.
• The authoring commands (/questbridge ...) are meant for the pack developers, not for normal play.
