Astral Dimension & Setback
The Astral Dimension and Setback are two Sporran-run dimensions from one mod. Each has its own portal frame and key item, and together they hold 18 biomes, 82 mob types and six bosses.
The Astral Dimension and Setback are two dimensions from the Astral Dimension mod, which the pack runs on Fabric through Sporran. They count as two of the pack's 9 dimensions but as one realm, and the quest book has no quests for either. This page covers both and belongs to the Dimensions overview.
Astral Dimension 3.0 was made by Mr.Sculk for NeoForge. It runs on Fabric through 
Sporran, a compatibility layer that is Navrelis's fork of Kilt, made by the Sporran Team. Sporran is experimental by its own README, and the first start remaps the NeoForge jars once, which adds roughly 30 to 40 seconds.

Getting there#
The portal is a frame of Glowing Obsidian, from 2 to 21 blocks wide and 3 to 21 blocks tall inside. You light it by right-clicking the frame with Glint and Steel, which has 64 uses. Both items are crafted:
- Glowing Obsidian: four glowstone dust in a plus shape around one obsidian. It makes one block.
- Glint and Steel: one glowstone dust and one iron ingot, shapeless.
What you find#
The mod brings 18 biomes and 35 structures. Ten of the biomes belong to the Astral Dimension and eight to Setback. One of the structures can also generate in the Overworld. The mod ships 38 advancements, including astral for entering the dimension and hero_of_the_astral.
Its ores include astral coal, astral gold, astranite, harsh diamond, harsh void ore and void ore. Wild waystones do not generate here.
Creatures and bosses#
The mod registers 82 mob types, counted without six technical entities. Examples are the Pigail, Bovelin, Nost, Nanta, Ghospuff, Manikin, Solar Bear, Fiery Cow, Void Worm, Void Centipede and Smash Beetle. Most are hostile: 59 of the 82 are Monster classes. Two are tameable, the Nihlin and the Baby Amethyst Crawler. Thirty of the mod's own mob types are set in biome spawners, such as the amethyst meadow, fiery forest, frozen harsh barrens, electric swamp, synapse, dead coral reef and lunar canyon.
Six bosses show a boss bar. Their HP is the code default. Boss Ultimatum and the quest book do not cover them.

Dangers and what to bring#
With no quest to guide you, the advancements are your guide. Beds do not work, so bring a respawn anchor. If you die, a grave stores your items and XP and is never placed below Y 3. Expect tough mobs that have no boss bar.

Getting there#
The Setback portal is a Gloomy Obsidian frame lit with a Nanta Star. Both items are crafted:
- Gloomy Obsidian: four obsidian around one Void Shards makes four blocks.
- Nanta Star: four Nanta Pearls around one Faded Star. It has a durability of 64.
Entering Setback grants the advancement realm_of_malice.
What you find#
Setback has no skylight. Its dimension type is not natural, is flagged ultrawarm and is flagged piglin safe. It holds eight of the mod's 18 biomes. Which mobs and structures belong to Setback rather than to the Astral Dimension has not been separated.
Changed from the old wiki#
Earlier versions of this wiki listed seven Astral bosses, including the Void Menace and the Amethyst Knight. In the current pack six bosses show a boss bar: Anomal, Jailor, Tower of Malice, Void Giant, Void Titan and Void Visage. The Void Menace and the Amethyst Knight have no boss bar.
In the quest book#
None. The quest book has no chapter, quest or task for the Astral Dimension or Setback.
