Commands
Chat commands every player can use in Nytheria, with the pack's cooldowns and limits: homes, teleports, back, rtp, teams, claims, voice chat and graves, plus the commands that need operator rights.
Most things in Nytheria work without commands, but a few are very handy: homes, teleport requests, the way back after a death and the claim tools. This page lists the commands that a normal player can run, with the values the pack sets, and then the commands that look like player commands but need operator rights.
How to read this page#
A command is listed as a player command only when the mod registers it without an operator requirement. "Level 2" below is the vanilla permission level called "game master". On a dedicated server, the ranks of the pack give staff extra commands; they give players none (see Running a Server). Vanilla commands such as /msg, /list or /help are not covered.
<name>is a value you must fill in,[name]is optional,|separates choices.- Warm-up is the wait before a teleport happens. Cooldown is the time before you can use the command again.
- Press T to open the chat and type the slash yourself. The / key does not open the chat in Nytheria, because the pack unbinds that action and uses the key for voice chat. See Controls.
- Values come from the pack's
config/ftbessentials.snbtunless a row says otherwise.
Homes, spawn and teleports#
These come from
FTB Essentials (Forge & Fabric). Every command here has a warm-up of 3 seconds.
| Command | What it does | Cooldown | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
/sethome [name] | Saves your position as a home | 10 s | 3 homes |
/home [name] | Teleports you to a home | 10 s | - |
/delhome [name] | Deletes a home | 10 s | - |
/listhomes | Lists your homes | 10 s | - |
/back | Takes you to your previous position, also your death position | 30 s | history of 10 positions |
/spawn | Teleports you to the world spawn | 10 s | - |
/playerspawn | Teleports you to your respawn point | 10 s | - |
/rtp | Random teleport away from spawn | 600 s | 500 to 17,500 blocks, 100 tries, not in the End |
/tpa <player> | Asks to teleport to another player | 10 s | - |
/tpahere <player> | Asks another player to teleport to you | 10 s | - |
/tpaccept <id> | Accepts a request | 10 s | - |
/tpdeny <id> | Declines a request | 10 s | - |
/warp <name> | Teleports you to a server warp | 10 s | - |
/listwarps | Lists the warps | 10 s | - |
- Homes. You can have up to 3 homes. The mod's own default is one. There is no minimum height for a home.
- Back.
/backis not limited to deaths; it works after any teleport (only_on_deathis off). Use it right after a respawn to reach the place where you died. - Random teleport.
/rtppicks a spot 500 to 17,500 blocks from the world spawn and tries up to 100 times. The mod's default maximum is 25,000 blocks; the pack lowers it to 17,500. Players cannot choose their own distances, and the End is on the blacklist. - Warps. Warps exist only after an operator runs
/setwarp, so a new world has none. - No dimension blocks. The pack blocks teleports from or to no dimension; only
/rtprefuses the End.
Other FTB Essentials commands#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/nickname [name] | Changes your display name (up to 30 characters). Without a name it resets |
/trashcan | Opens a trash inventory. It is also a sidebar button |
/leaderboard [type] | Ranks all players by a statistic |
/recording, /streaming | Tells other players that you are recording or streaming |
/kickme | Disconnects you, for example when you are stuck or out of sync |
/give_me_kit <name> | Takes a kit that an admin created |
The pack ships no kits, so /give_me_kit does nothing until a server admin creates one. Whether a kit needs an extra permission is not confirmed. /enderchest is switched off in the pack.
Teams and parties#
Quest progress follows your team, not you alone, so a party is how friends share the book. Every player starts in a personal team of one. Create a party on the team screen (P opens a wheel that includes it) or with a command.
FTB Teams (Fabric) has no party size limit in the pack.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ftbteams party create <name> | Creates a party |
/ftbteams party join | Joins a party you were invited to |
/ftbteams party decline | Declines an invitation |
/ftbteams party leave | Leaves your party |
/ftbteams party invite <players> | Invites players |
/ftbteams party kick <players> | Removes members |
/ftbteams party transfer_ownership <player> | Hands the party to another member |
/ftbteams party settings <key> <value> | Changes a party setting |
/ftbteams party allies add|remove <player> | Adds or removes an ally |
/ftbteams party allies list | Lists your allies |
Rewards are claimed by each player, and item tasks do not use up your items. More about shared progress is on Multiplayer and The Quest Book.
Claims and claim parties#
Open Parties and Claims: Team Claims is the claim mod of the pack. There is no FTB Chunks. Open Parties and Claims keeps its own party list, and the pack mirrors it with FTB Teams in both directions, so a party you make in one place appears in the other. Allies, colours, descriptions and party chat are not synced. Where the two disagree, the claim mod wins.
| Command | What it does | Limit |
|---|---|---|
/oclaims claim, unclaim | Claims or frees chunks | 500 claims |
/oclaims forceload, unforceload | Keeps claimed chunks loaded, or stops that | 10 forceloads |
/oclaims about | Shows your numbers | - |
/oclaims sub-claim use <sub-id>, current | Chooses the claim sub-config | - |
/oclaims transfer ... | Hands your claims to someone | - |
/oclaims clear confirm | Removes all your claims | - |
/oparties create [teamname], about, join <id>, leave | Creates, shows, joins or leaves a claim party | 64 members, 64 allies, 16 invites |
/oparties member invite <player>, member kick <name>, member rank <name> <rank> | Manages members; invite and kick need the moderator rank, ranks need admin | - |
/oparties ally add <player>, ally remove <owner> | Manages allied parties | - |
/oparties transfer <new-owner> confirm, destroy confirm | Hands over or deletes the party | - |
/oparties chat <message> or /opm <message> | Sends a message to your party | - |
/opac ... | Reads and sets your claim and party options (get, set, sub create|delete|list) | only the options the pack allows |
/teamclaims create <name>, info, list [page] | Creates a team, shows team claim numbers, lists teams | team pool 500 claims plus 25 per extra member |
/teamclaims roles [claim|unclaim|forceload <rank>] | Sets which rank may claim, unclaim or forceload; owner and admins only | - |
/teamclaims convert toteam|topersonal [radius] | Moves claims between you and the team | radius up to 4 |
/teamclaims territorymessages [on|off] | Switches territory messages | - |
A claim command covers up to 121 chunks per action, and the claim distance is 25 chunks. A team of one member has a team claim limit of 0 by default. The anchor and unanchor commands exist, but anchor-based claiming is off. The full rules are on Claims & Parties.
Voice chat and graves#
Simple Voice Chat has four commands for groups. They are open to every player because voice groups are enabled for everyone.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/voicechat help | Lists the voice chat commands |
/voicechat invite <player> | Invites a player to your group |
/voicechat join <group> | Joins a group |
/voicechat leave | Leaves your group |
You're in Grave Danger gives you two:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/yigd latest | Shows your latest grave that you have not collected |
/yigd grave | Shows your own graves |
Looking at another player's graves, restoring and robbing need level 2 or higher.
Scaling, mob caps and tree felling#
| Command | Mod | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/scaling | Shows your own difficulty multiplier and what it is made of | |
/scaling top [page] | Player Difficulty | Shows the leaderboard of the highest multipliers (10 entries) |
/mobcaps | Shows the mob caps | |
/fallingtree toggle | Turns tree felling on or off for you |
Your multiplier is personal, not a setting of the world. See Difficulty & Player Scaling for what it does.
Client commands#
These run on your own game and need no permission, so they also work on a server where you are a normal player.
| Command | Mod | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/polybind open|reload|conflicts | Opens the shared-key screen, reloads it, or lists keys with several actions | |
/polybind defaults status|apply|save | Polybind | Shows, applies or saves the pack's default options |
/e4mc stop|restart|doctor|conninfo | Stops or restarts sharing your world, checks the connection, shows connection info | |
/scalingdisplay [screens|hud|off|reload] | Player Difficulty | Controls where your multiplier is shown |
/xaeroiconfix audit [live all] | Checks the map and radar icons of the creatures in your game | |
/clientsort | ClientSort's own command | |
/dynamiclighting | The hook for Dynamic Lighting's screen |
The effect of /polybind defaults in play and of the /clientsort and /dynamiclighting commands was not tested. The wheel itself is explained on Controls.
Operator commands#
These commands need operator rights. They are for server owners and for fixing problems, not for normal play. In FTB Essentials, level 2 is "game master", and a server rank can hand single commands to single players.
FTB Essentials#
| Command | What it does | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
/open anvil|crafting|smithing|stonecutter | Opens that workstation without the block | level 2 |
/hat | Swaps your held item and your helmet | level 2 |
/near [radius] [player] | Lists players nearby | level 2, or the shipped helper rank and above (radius 200 / 1,000 / 100,000) |
/heal, /feed, /extinguish, /fly, /god | Healing, food, fire, flight and invulnerability | level 2 |
/speed, /invsee, /nicknamefor, /mute, /unmute | Walk speed, inventory view, nicknames, muting | level 2 |
/setwarp, /delwarp, /teleport_last, /tpx, /jump, /tp_offline (/tpo), /kit ... | Warps, admin teleports and kits | level 2 |
The mod's config text says that /open anvil allows users to open an anvil screen, but the only registration is under the admin-only open command. Players cannot use it.

Notes#
- Cooldowns and limits are the pack's values from its configuration files. A server owner can change them, and a server rank can change them per rank, though the shipped ranks set none of that.
- Earlier versions of this wiki said that Open Parties and Claims parties are separate from FTB Teams. In the current pack they are kept in sync.
