BetterEnd: Remastered

What it adds#

BetterEnd: Remastered is Navrelis' maintained version of BetterEnd, made for Nytheria and based on the original mod by paulevs and Bulldog83. It adds more than 20 biomes to the outer End islands, such as Amber Land, Chorus Forest, Crystal Mountains, Dragon Graveyards, Foggy Mushroomland, Megalake, Shadow Forest, Sulfur Springs and Umbrella Jungle, plus End cave biomes. It also brings:

• new woods, stones, plants and ores,
• Thallasium, Terminite and Aeternium tools, armor, hammers and anvils,
• mobs such as the Dragonfly, End Fish, End Slime, Cubozoa, Shadow Walker and Silk Moth,
• infusion rituals on infusion pedestals,
• ruined eternal portals that can link the End with the Overworld.

Getting started#

Defeat the dragon and use an End gateway to reach the outer islands. In Nytheria the End uses the BetterX generator, so BetterEnd's biomes appear there together with the vanilla End biomes and Nullscape. Explore the caves under the islands, too.

Tips#

• Anvils and hammers are part of the metal progression; EMI shows the anvil levels and alloying recipes.
• To repair an eternal portal, place an Eternal Crystal on each of its six pedestals. See Dimensions.
• The mod's advancements (visit all biomes, own all elytra variants, find all smithing templates) work as a checklist.
• Guides for the original BetterEnd are a good starting point, but values in this remaster can differ.
