Mod
Obscura's Simple Storage
Navrelis' optimised fork of Tom's Simple Storage (version 5): connect chests into one network and use them from a searchable terminal.
What it adds#
Obscura's Simple Storage is Navrelis' optimized version of Tom's Simple Storage. It joins normal containers such as chests and barrels into one storage network:
- Inventory Connector: connects all touching containers into one network.
- Inventory Trim: fills gaps between containers.
- Storage Terminal: shows and searches all items in the network. The Crafting Terminal adds a crafting grid.
- Inventory Cable with Cable Connectors: reaches containers further away.
- Wireless Terminal and Advanced Wireless Terminal: access the network from a distance.
- Basic Inventory Hopper, Level Emitter, Inventory Proxy, Inventory Interface, Open Crate, Filing Cabinet, Shulker Dock, item, tag, condition and polymorphic filters and a Paint Kit.
- Version 5 adds a Tidy button (merges stacks and moves strays into place), Frame Labels (a glow item frame on a chest makes it accept only that item), comparator output, the
/obscuras_storage doctornetwork check (operators) and a search syntax with@mod,#tagand$component.
Getting started#
- Place chests next to each other and put an Inventory Connector next to them.
- Place a Storage Terminal on one of the connected containers.
- Open the terminal: you see and search all items at once.
For containers further away, run Inventory Cable and attach them with Cable Connectors.
Tips#
- Bind a Wireless Terminal by sneaking and right-clicking a terminal with it. It reaches 32 blocks; the advanced one reaches 128 blocks.
- A beacon next to the bound terminal extends the reach: with a level 1 beacon the terminal works anywhere in the dimension, with a level 3 beacon even across dimensions.
- The terminal offers several sorting and search modes, and three control schemes.
- Use the Inventory Configurator to filter what a connected container accepts.
