Armor & Accessories
Armor sets, Advanced Netherite tiers, Dragon Scale gear, the shared accessory slots and the 64 find-only Artifacts Remastered treasures, with the pack's armor limits and the H ability key.
Protection in Nytheria comes from armor sets that go well past netherite and from a shared accessory system that holds rings, charms, belts and more. This page belongs to Combat & Gear and explains the sets, how they are made, where the 64 artifacts are found and which pack rules cap or lift your defence.
Overview#
The pack adds no armor recipes of its own; every set below works as its mod defines it. Two pack-wide rules shape all of them.
AttributeFix lifts the vanilla attribute caps, so armor is no longer capped at 30 and the ranges for armor, toughness, attack damage, knockback and maximum health extend up to 1,000,000. Knockback resistance stays clamped between 0 and 1.
Armor Damage Limit works the other way: one hit can remove at most 20 % (the setting is 0.2) of a piece's maximum durability, and no item is exempt.
Immersive Armor HUD shows armor durability next to the hotbar, and
Durability Tooltip puts durability numbers into item tooltips, so you see when a piece is close to breaking.
DarkSmelting - RPG Smelt Armor, Tools, Weapons lets you smelt armor, tools and weapons back into ingots.
Immersive Armors#
Immersive Armors adds ten vanilla-style sets of four pieces each, which makes 40 items: bone, wither, warrior, heavy, robe, slime, divine, prismarine, wooden and steampunk. Set effects are on, and the second armor layer is hidden under your armor. Mobs can wear the sets too, and the pack keeps the mod's chance settings.
The effects below follow the mod's own description; they were not re-read in code.
| Set | Effect according to the mod's description |
|---|---|
| Wooden | Protects against arrows and explosions |
| Bone | Faster movement; skeletons ignore you |
| Wither | Faster movement; contact damage |
| Divine | Very high protection; a full set blocks one attack per minute; dyeable cloth |
| Heavy | High armor and toughness, little knockback, less mobility |
| Slime | Attackers bounce away; less explosion damage |
| Warrior | More axe damage, extra damage per missing health point, berserk |
| Robe | Dyeable and fireproof; blaze-rod infusion burns attackers |
| Steampunk | Helmet radar while sneaking, chestplate time and info screen, leggings double jump, boots remove fall damage |
| Prismarine | Spiked and slower, with Depth Strider |
Recipes from the mod's files include the Divine chestplate (a Robe chestplate, a Totem of Undying and 6 gold ingots), the Wither helmet (a Bone helmet and 5 nether bricks), the Warrior helmet (a leather helmet, 2 bones and 3 iron ingots) and the Steampunk helmet (a redstone torch, 2 white stained glass and a gold ingot). There is no emerald chestplate.
Advanced Netherite#
Advanced Netherite (Fabric) adds four tiers above netherite: Netherite-Iron, Netherite-Gold, Netherite-Emerald and Netherite-Diamond. Each tier has an ingot, four armor pieces and five tools (sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel and hoe), so the mod holds 40 items plus 4 storage blocks. Nine ingots and a block convert both ways.
The ingot chain is shapeless crafting: a Netherite Ingot plus 4 iron ingots gives a Netherite-Iron Ingot, that plus 4 gold ingots gives Netherite-Gold, plus 4 emeralds gives Netherite-Emerald, and plus 4 diamonds gives Netherite-Diamond. Gear is smithed with a netherite upgrade template and the tier's ingot, and the base must be the previous tier's gear. Iron accepts netherite gear, gold accepts Netherite-Iron, emerald accepts gold, and diamond accepts emerald.
Each tier brings perks, so the best choice depends on what you fight:
| Tier | Armor pacifies | Sword adds drops | Pickaxe adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netherite-Iron | Phantoms | Phantom loot | Raw iron |
| Netherite-Gold | Piglins | Gold ingots from piglins and zombified piglins | Raw gold |
| Netherite-Emerald | Endermen | Ender pearls from endermen | Emerald |
| Netherite-Diamond | Phantoms, piglins and endermen | All three drops above | Diamond |
The hoe of every tier adds crop drops. The pack has no config file for this mod, so durability, armor values and drop chances are the mod defaults.
Dragon Scale gear#
DragonLoot turns the Ender Dragon's Dragon Scales into gear. A kill drops at least 3 scales, and each further player in the fight adds 2 more with an 80 % chance each. You upgrade a netherite helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe or sword at a smithing table with one Dragon Scale and a netherite upgrade template. The same scale turns an anvil into a Dragon Anvil. For the fight itself see The Ender Dragon.
Gilded Netherite#
AdventureZ contributes Gilded Netherite. Smith a netherite armor piece with a Gilded Netherite Fragment and a Gilded Upgrade Smithing Template. The template is crafted from 7 blackstone, 1 gold ingot and 1 template, and gives 2 templates. According to the item tooltips, a full set grants Fire Resistance for 1 minute when you are on fire, with a 1 minute recharge.
Armor from other realms#
Several dimensions carry full sets of their own: Aether (gravitite, valkyrie, zanite and others), Twilight Forest (ironwood, steeleaf, knightmetal), Eternal Starlight (glacite, unrealium), Deeper and Darker (warden), Cataclysm (ignitium, cursium) and more. The list lives on Combat & Gear, and the realms are on Dimensions.
Accessory slots#
Accessories is the shared system for rings, necklaces and the like. It has 12 slot types that give 14 slots: hat 1, face 1, necklace 1, cape 1, back 1, hand 2, ring 2, wrist 1, belt 1, anklet 1, shoes 1 and charm 1. The Accessories screen has an inventory button and shows cosmetic accessories, and the key for it is unbound in the pack. The Aether has its own accessory menu on I.
Other mods plug into the same slots:
Accessories Compatibility Layer shows Trinkets-style slots on the Accessories screen, and
Trinkets (Fabric) is the base for the next two mods.
Elytra Slot lets you wear an elytra in the cape slot and keep a chestplate on.
Charm of Undying (Fabric/Forge/Quilt) lets a Totem of Undying work from the charm slot instead of your hand.
Accessorify turns 11 vanilla items into accessories: clock, compass, recovery compass, calendar, elytra, spyglass, lantern, totem of undying, ender chest, shulker box and arrows. Its info overlay shows coordinates, direction, biome, time, weather, moon phase, season and your last death location.
Artifacts Remastered#
Artifacts Remastered is made for Nytheria as a fork of Artifacts. It adds 64 accessory treasures, 16 of them new, and none can be crafted. The only recipe is the Eternal Steak, which you get by cooking an Everlasting Beef in a furnace, smoker or campfire. Of the 64, 61 fit a slot and 3 are held items (Umbrella, Eternal Steak, Everlasting Beef).

Where to find them#
Artifacts are find-only, and the pack sets these sources:
- Structure chests: artifact rarity is 1.0 and modded loot tables are on. According to the author's description, vanilla structures plus chests from YUNG's, Adventure Dungeons, Illager Invasion, Terralith and Repurposed Structures can hold them.
- Underground campsites: 40 attempts per chunk between Y -60 and Y 40. The mimic chance is 0.3, and a killed mimic drops a random artifact.
- Archaeology: suspicious sand and gravel have a 1 in 16 chance (6.25 %).
- Mobs: skeletons, zombies, husks, drowned, strays, bogged, wither skeletons, piglins, piglin brutes and zombified piglins carry one with a 0.15 % chance.
- Specific drops: witches drop a Witch Hat 2 % of the time, and a cow or mooshroom killed by a player drops an Everlasting Beef 1 time in 500.
- Wandering traders: a buyback gives 2 offers per trader at 12 emeralds each, for traders that spawn afterwards.
The collector advancement tab has 79 advancements, and Treasure Hoarder asks for all 64 artifacts.
The H ability key#
Active artifacts share one key, H, with the abilities of Cataclysm armor, the Twilight Forest and the AdventureZ dragon breath. Six artifact actions sit on it: toggle Charm of Shrinking, toggle Charm of Sinking, activate Helium Flamingo, toggle Night Vision Goggles, toggle Scarf of Invisibility and toggle Universal Attractor. Hold H for more than a moment to open the Polybind wheel and release on the action you want. A quick tap repeats your last pick.
How it fits together#
Armor is a ladder with side branches. Vanilla and Immersive Armors sets cover the early game, netherite and the four Advanced Netherite tiers cover the middle, and Dragon Scale gear needs the Ender Dragon. Artifacts and accessories sit beside that ladder and do not replace any armor slot. Armor Damage Limit protects every piece from a single huge hit, while Difficulty & Player Scaling decides how hard the hits are in the first place.
In the quest book#
Below the Bedrock in Part 7, The Listening Dark, asks for the warden upgrade template and a full set of warden armor. Forge, Garden and Frost in Part 9, The Stars, leads to glacite armor and a full unrealium set. Cache rewards add the pieces: the Deep Road Cache can roll Night Vision Goggles, and the Ashfall Cache can roll a sterling helmet. See Rewards, Loot Caches & Choice Kits.
