The Aether
Adds the Aether, a dimension of floating islands with its own materials, moas, accessories, three dungeons and three bosses.
What it adds#
The Aether is a dimension of floating islands high above the clouds. It has its own progression:
- Materials: skyroot wood, holystone, ambrosium, zanite and gravitite. Gravitite has to be enchanted at an altar before you can use it.
- Moas: giant birds you hatch, raise and ride.
- Accessories: gloves, pendants, capes and rings, with their own menu.
- Dungeons: the Bronze, Silver and Gold dungeons with the Slider, the Valkyrie Queen and the Sun Spirit.
Getting started#
- Build a frame of glowstone blocks, like a Nether portal. The smallest frame is 4 wide and 5 tall.
- Pour water into the frame with a bucket.
- Stand in the portal to travel.
On your first visit you get the Aether's starting loot, including the Book of Lore and golden parachutes. Gather skyroot and holystone for your first tools.
Tips#
- If you fall off an island and below the Aether, you land back in the Overworld.
- Most fire does not work in the Aether.
- Beat the dungeons in order: Bronze, Silver, then Gold. Each boss drops a key for its treasure chest.
