Mod
Simple Voice Chat
Adds proximity voice chat: nearby players hear you, and groups let you talk across the world.
What it adds#
Simple Voice Chat adds voice chat inside the game. Players close to you hear you, and the volume drops with distance. You can also whisper, and groups let a team talk regardless of distance.
Getting started#
- The first time you join a world or server with voice chat, a setup screen asks you to choose your microphone and between push-to-talk and voice activation.
- In Nytheria all voice chat actions (menu, mute, push-to-talk, groups, settings, volume, hide icons, disable) share the / key.
Polybind turns it into a wheel, so tap or hold the key and pick the action. - You can give every action its own key under Controls.
Tips#
- On a server, the port 24454 (UDP) must be open, otherwise voice chat does not connect.
- Voice range is 48 blocks and whisper range 24 blocks.
- If nobody hears you, check the microphone icon and the input device in the voice chat settings.
- More details are on Multiplayer.
