[Let's Do] Farm & Charm

What it adds#

Farm & Charm is the base of the Let's Do cooking mods in Nytheria. It adds crops such as barley, oat, corn, tomato, lettuce, onion and strawberry, wild versions of these and of vanilla crops, and a set of stations: Stove, Cooking Pot, Cooking Pan, Roaster, Crafting Bowl, Mincer and Wooden/Copper Silo. It also adds farm blocks such as Fertilized Soil, the Water Sprinkler, feeding troughs, chicken coops and nests, plus tools like the Pitchfork and the Plow.

Getting started#

Collect seeds from wild crops. Wild barley grows in plains, savannas and near rivers, wild oat in meadows and taigas, and wild tomatoes and corn in plains, savannas and badlands. Plant them on farmland like vanilla seeds.

For cooking, the Cooking Pot, Cooking Pan and Roaster need heat from below: a Stove, a campfire, a magma block or another heat block. The Stove itself is used for baking. Put raw meat into the Mincer to get minced ingredients, and put bone meal into a Wooden Silo to dry it into fertilizer.

Tips#

• Craft Fertilized Soil and use a hoe or the Pitchfork on it to get Fertilized Farmland.
• Many meals give useful effects, for example Sustenance (slowly fills hunger, then heals) or Farmer's Blessing (removes negative effects).
• Feed chickens Chicken Feed for more eggs and feathers, and give horses Horse Fodder for more speed and jump strength.
