End Remastered [NeoForge/Fabric]

DimensionsModClient & ServerIn-depth guide

Replaces the Eyes of Ender with 16 different eyes found all over the world; the End portal needs 12 of them.

What it adds#

End Remastered changes how you reach the End. Vanilla Eyes of Ender can no longer be thrown or placed in portal frames. Instead there are 16 eyes, and each one comes from a different place or activity:

  • Structure loot: Old Eye (desert pyramids), Black Eye (buried treasure), Lost Eye (mineshafts), Corrupted Eye (pillager outposts), Cursed Eye (bastions), Rogue Eye (jungle temples), Cold Eye (igloos), Nether Eye (Nether fortresses).
  • Mobs: Magical Eye (Evokers), Guardian Eye (Elder Guardians), Wither Eye (the Wither).
  • Crafting: Witch Eye, Undead Eye, Exotic Eye.
  • Special: Evil Eye (master Cleric trade) and Cryptic Eye (small chance when enchanting).

Getting started#

  1. Collect eyes while you explore; the common ones come from structures you visit anyway.
  2. Throw an End Remastered eye to find the nearest stronghold, like an Eye of Ender.
  3. In the portal room, place one eye into each frame. The portal opens with 12 different eyes.

Tips#

  • Every throw has a 10 % chance to break the eye, so throw common eyes and keep rare ones.
  • A placed eye can be taken out of the frame again.
  • Vanilla Eyes of Ender are still used in some crafting recipes, for example the Witch Eye and the Exotic Eye.
  • The quest chapter Sixteen Lanterns tracks all eyes. The full list with hints is on The End Portal & the 16 Eyes.

Description from the mod

End Remastered makes your Minecraft experience more challenging by emphasizing the adventurous side of the game. Exploration is the main focus of End Remastered, and to reach the End and beat the Ender Dragon, you will have to find the 16 custom eyes by exploring vanilla structures and fighting vanilla bosses.
