Nytheria has one of the largest block palettes you can build with in Minecraft 1.21.1. This page covers the block sets, the furniture mods, the lighting and detail mods, and the pack's own building tool, Sophisticated Building. It is for players who want to build a home, a base or a village, and who want to know which mod to open first.

Overview#

The palette comes from a few big sources. Chipped adds seven workbenches that turn one vanilla block into thousands of free variants (about 6,960 blocks in total). The Macaw's family has 11 mods with 2,961 blocks and 90 paintings. Stoneworks adds 572 stone blocks and Some More Blocks about 641 more. Clutter, Dusty Decorations, Beautify: Refabricated and Additional Lights fill the rooms with detail.

Furniture comes in four styles: Handcrafted (cosy), MrCrayfish's Refurbished (modern, with electricity), Let's Do (23 wood sets, clocks, curtains) and the decor mods Clutter, Dusty Decorations and Beautify.

The pack's own building tool is Effortless Building: Sophisticated (Enhanced Fork). It has 15 build modes, mirror and array modifiers, and survival power levels 0 to 3.

Chipped#

Chipped has seven workbenches. All of them are crafted in a crafting table, and each bench shows every block of a family so you can pick the variant you want. A variant costs no extra material: one block in, one block out.

Six of the benches also have a hand tool, each a shapeless recipe: Saw (Carpenters Table and an iron ingot), Chisel (Mason Table and an iron ingot), Multimeter (Tinkering Table and redstone), Needles (Loom Table and a stick), Watering Can (Botanist Workbench and a bucket) and Alchemy Book (Alchemy Bench and a book). The Glassblower has no tool.

Chipped benches cannot be picked up with Carry On. The Saw of Chipped is an item, and the Saw of Universal Sawmill is a block; both show the name "Saw".

The Macaw's family#

The Macaw's mods cover one building part each, with every wood type and many stone types. All ten block mods are Fabric builds for 1.21.1, and Macaw's Paintings adds 90 painting variants but no blocks.

Recipes are plain crafting-table recipes. An Oak Roof is an oak log and a stick, a Rope Oak Bridge is 2 string and 3 oak slabs, and an Oak Window is built from 4 window bases and an oak log, where the base is 8 sticks around glass.

Furniture#

Handcrafted#

Handcrafted adds 267 cosy blocks in 11 wood types: bench, chair, couch, counter, cupboard, desk, drawer, fancy bed, nightstand, shelf and tables. It also has 16-colour cushions and sheets, pots, bowls, cups, plates and 20 mob trophies. A Hammer is 3 iron ingots and 2 sticks. A couch uses wool plus a cushion, and a fancy bed uses wool, a cushion and sheets. Handcrafted has no electricity.

MrCrayfish's Furniture: Refurbished#

MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished has 449 modern furniture blocks. You build most of them at its Workbench, which is crafted from a stonecutter, a redstone block, an iron ingot and planks and slabs. The Workbench itself needs power.

Power comes from the Light Electricity Generator (blast furnace, redstone block, 6 iron ingots). The Dark generator is the Light one plus black dye. A Wrench connects the network. The mod lists 53 powered items, including lamps, ceiling fans, a fridge, a toaster, a microwave, a television and a computer. The pack keeps the mod's default numbers:

A Post Box sends items to a named Mailbox. The computer runs Paddle Ball, Smart Home, Marketplace and Coin Miner. A kitchen sink holds 3 buckets of water and a bath holds 10.

Let's Do furniture#

[Let's Do] Furniture has 361 blocks. There are 23 wood sets with bench, cabinet, clock, desk, dresser, grandfather clock, mirror, shutter and wardrobe, plus 16-colour curtains, lamps, pouffes and sofas. Specials include a gramophone (4 gold ingots, a jukebox, 2 wooden slabs), a telescope (spyglass and 3 sticks), a cash register, fish tanks and a steam pipe. The Candlelight, Meadow and Beachparty mods add dining, pine and palm-wood furniture and are covered under Farming & Cooking.

Clutter, Dusty Decorations and Beautify#

Clutter has 1,257 block states of decor: armchairs, benches, trellises, candelabras, chandeliers, bunk beds, lamps, onyx blocks, coral varieties, plushies, hats and butterfly elytra. It also adds 14 mobs, 2 biomes and silver ore, so it is more than decoration.

Dusty Decorations has 370 blocks in a port and market style: barrels, awnings, seaglass, corrugated metal, buoys, anchors and fairy lights. Beautify: Refabricated adds blinds, trellises, picture frames, hanging pots, candelabras, a bookstack and the Botanist villager, whose job block is the Beautify Botanist Workbench.

More block sets#

Stoneworks has 572 blocks: bricks, pavers, plates, shingles and tiles for 50 stone families, each with slabs, stairs and walls, plus pillars. Some More Blocks has 641 blocks, such as 16-colour concrete and terracotta bricks and tiles, shingles, mosaics for 10 wood types and carved logs for 12 wood types.

Supplementaries (271 block states) adds small useful blocks with a recipe or a trade. Amendments adds vanilla tweaks such as carpeted stairs and slabs, wall lanterns, hanging pots and ceiling banners.

Ecologics adds walnut, coconut and azalea wood sets, ice and snow bricks, seashell tiles and a sandcastle. Paintings come from three mods: Macaw's Paintings (90 variants), Dark Paintings (50 variants) and Fast Paintings, which renders paintings as blocks for performance.

Light and small details#

Additional Lights has 148 items: lamps, torches, fire pits and standing torches in about 25 materials, plus a Soul Wand. A Glass Lamp is glowstone over glass. Sooty Chimneys adds 14 chimney blocks (7 clean, 7 dirty). In the pack, smoke flow is 0.75, the dirty chance is 0.05 and wind is on, so a chimney slowly gets sooty.

Dyed Flames is cosmetic: burning mobs get flames in the colour of their fire source. Obscura's Dynamic Lighting is the author's own mod: held and dropped light items light up their surroundings.

Sophisticated Building#

Effortless Building: Sophisticated (Enhanced Fork) is the pack author's fork of Effortless Building. It places whole shapes with one click and works in survival. It needs Sophisticated Backpacks (Unofficial Fabric port) for its upgrades; without it the upgrade items do nothing. See Backpacks for the backpack itself.

Build modes and modifiers#

The mod has 15 build modes: Disable, Single, Line, Wall, Floor, Cube, Diagonal Line, Diagonal Wall, Slope Floor, Circle, Cylinder, Sphere, Pyramid, Cone and Terrain Mound. Options include Filled, Hollow and Skeleton, line thickness 1, 3 or 5, and a Fast build speed. The modifiers are Mirror, Radial Mirror and Array.

The default keys are not touched by the pack's Polybind defaults:

Undo gives you the normal drops, and the server keeps 50 undo steps.

Power levels#

In survival your power level limits reach and size. You raise it by using Reach Upgrade 1, 2 and 3 in that order.

Server operators can check or set the level with /powerlevel query [target] and /powerlevel set <target> <0-3>; both need permission level 2.

Randomizer Bags and Building Upgrades#

A Randomizer Bag places a random block from its slots, so you can mix Chipped variants or Macaw's blocks in one wall. There are four bags.

A Building Upgrade sits in a backpack upgrade slot and lets the tool place blocks from that backpack. A backpack can hold only one Building Upgrade. Each tier raises the number of blocks per build and is crafted from the previous tier.

A compressed block is 9 of the vanilla block, and decompress recipes exist.

Breaking in survival#

Mass breaking is on in survival. It stops before your tool breaks, has a maximum delay of 40 ticks (2 seconds) between steps and adds 0.005 exhaustion per block. Replace modes are off in survival.

Quality-of-life helpers#

These small mods change how building feels. Most work without any setup.

Double Doors: a double door or pair of fence gates opens together, chained up to 10 blocks. Trapdoors are switched off in the pack.
Sit (Fabric): sit on slabs and stairs within 4 blocks of reach.
Jump Over Fences: jump over fences.
Connectible Chains [Fabric]: hang decorative chains between fences or walls, up to 16 blocks apart.
Diagonal Fences with Diagonal Walls and Diagonal Windows: connect diagonally. Pack data lists blocks that must not connect.
Round's Invisible Frames: sneak and click an item frame to make it invisible.
Visual Workbench: crafting tables keep and show their items. Vanilla crafting tables are converted, including during world generation.
Underlay: place carpets under other blocks.
Redstone Pen: a pen draws redstone tracks on walls. The Pen is 8 redstone blocks and a feather and has 72 uses.
KleeSlabs: break only the half of a double slab you look at.
Sawmill: a "Saw" block cuts wood without a crafting grid and gives villagers a Carpenter job.
Bridging Mod: a bridging aid. The pack config turns the assist off, but binds R to toggle it.

For felling trees, multi-block mining, Carry On and fast leaf decay, see Mining & Everyday Tools. Abridged adds no blocks: it only generates bridges over rivers in the world.

How it fits together#

Gather wood and stone with the tools from Mining & Everyday Tools. Turn the blocks into variants at a Chipped bench, or craft Stoneworks, Some More Blocks and Macaw's pieces directly. Place them quickly with Sophisticated Building, and fill the rooms with furniture. Keep your materials in Storage & Logistics containers; a backpack with a Building Upgrade doubles as a block supply.

Polymorph lets you choose between recipes that give the same shape in different mods, such as Macaw's, Handcrafted and Clutter.

In the quest book#

The chapter Shelves and Signposts (Part 2, Hearth and Home) asks for 3 Handcrafted furniture pieces, 10 Chipped blocks, matching Macaw's windows and 8 roof pieces, and lanterns and a candle holder. It also has storage tasks, covered in Storage & Logistics. See Part 2: Hearth and Home.

Changed from the old wiki#

Earlier versions of this wiki described schematics with Litematica. In the current pack, Litematica is not installed; only its library MaLiLib is. There is nothing to load a schematic with.
Earlier versions said Abridged adds decorative bridge blocks. In the current pack, it only generates bridges in the world.
Earlier versions said the Alchemy Bench handles netherite blocks. In the current pack, it has diamond, emerald, gold and iron blocks, not netherite.
Ecologics has no camel in this pack: only the coconut crab, penguin and squirrel are present.
