Sophisticated Storage (Unofficial Fabric port)

What it adds#

Sophisticated Storage adds storage blocks that can be upgraded:

• Chests, barrels (in all wood types) and shulker boxes,
• Limited barrels (I to IV) that hold a few item types in large amounts and show them on the front,
• tiers from basic over copper, iron, gold and diamond to netherite.

Storage blocks take upgrades such as Pickup, Magnet, Filter, Void, Hopper, Compacting, Compression, Crafting, Stonecutter, Smelting, Feeding, Pump, Experience Pump, Jukebox and Stack upgrades. It also adds a Storage Controller, Storage Link, Storage Input/Output, the Decoration Table, a Paintbrush and Packing Tape.

Getting started#

1. Craft a basic chest or barrel.
2. Right-click it with a tier upgrade (for example Basic to Iron Tier Upgrade) to upgrade it in place. The contents stay inside.
3. Put upgrades into its upgrade slots.
4. Connect several storage blocks to a Storage Controller to use them as one inventory.

Tips#

• Packing Tape lets you pick up a full storage block with its contents.
• A Hopper upgrade with a Filter upgrade makes a compact sorting system.
• The Decoration Table and Paintbrush change the look of storage blocks.
• The upgrade system is shared with Sophisticated Backpacks (Unofficial Fabric port).
