Easy Anvils

What it adds#

Easy Anvils replaces the vanilla anvil. Items you put into it stay there and are shown on top of the block when you close the screen. Several rules are friendlier than in vanilla:

• Renaming is free for all items.
• There is no "Too Expensive!" limit.
• The prior work penalty grows much more slowly, and renaming or repairing does not increase it.
• Combining enchanted books costs half as much.
• Item names can use formatting (colors and styles).
• Damaged anvils can be repaired, and anvils break less often.
• Name tags can be edited without an anvil, and there is a crafting recipe for name tags.

Getting started#

Use it like a vanilla anvil. Every anvil in Nytheria is an Easy Anvils anvil: the vanilla one is disabled, and anvils found in the world are converted.

Tips#

• Label tools and storage items freely, since renaming costs nothing.
• Keep old tools for repairs: combining two damaged items gives a durability bonus.
• Obscura's Anvil Disenchanting and Merge Enchantments add more anvil functions.
• Pair it with Easy Magic for enchanting.
