Nytheria is an adventure modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 on Fabric, with over 400 mods. It keeps the feel of Vanilla and makes the world around it much bigger: over 350 biomes, about 290 of them new, over 900 structures, 9 dimensions in 8 realms and around 40 bosses with their own boss bar. More than 450 new mobs live in it, and when you need a break there are kitchens to run, fields to plant and a home to build.

The pack follows a story told through its quest book: 440 quests in 27 chapters and 11 parts. You open the book with L, and the first quest, Find Me in the chapter One Leaf, starts on your first night. Chapters unlock through gate quests, so the book leads you from the surface into the caves, the Nether, the sky, the Otherside, the End and Eternal Starlight. The book has an eleventh, hidden part that appears when you reach it. New here? Read Getting Started, then follow Your First Days.

What makes Nytheria different#

  • A quest book that tells a story. Each chapter opens through a gate quest in an earlier one, early work still counts, and the book never locks a dimension itself. See The Quest Book and Chapter Gates & Book Order.
  • A much bigger world. Terralith and Oh The Biomes We've Gone shape the Overworld, and dozens of structure mods fill every dimension with ruins, towers and dungeons. See World Generation and Biomes.
  • Nine dimensions. Next to the Overworld, Nether and End you can visit the Aether, the Otherside, Eternal Starlight, the Twilight Forest and the Astral Dimension with its second realm, Setback. See Dimensions.
  • Bosses that fight back. The Ender Dragon has 600 HP, and a mod called Boss Ultimatum punishes deaths in many boss fights. Vanilla Eyes of Ender no longer work, so you collect End Remastered eyes instead. See Bosses, The Ender Dragon and The End Portal & the 16 Eyes.
  • NeoForge mods on Fabric. L_Ender's Cataclysm and the Astral Dimension are NeoForge mods that run through Sporran, Navrelis's fork of Kilt made by the Sporran Team. See Made for Nytheria and Credits.
  • A gentler survival loop. Hunger drains 35 % slower, deaths leave a grave with your items and XP, and chests give every player their own loot. See Death, Graves & Respawning and Per-Player Loot.
  • Fights that fit the player. Each player has their own difficulty multiplier, up to 2.5 times. See Difficulty & Player Scaling.
  • Made for Nytheria. The pack author made 23 of its jars, from a storage network that links your chests to Polybind, which lets several mods share one key through a wheel. See Made for Nytheria and Controls.
